NordStella FZ LLC (“NordStella”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the NordStella mobile application and the website at https://nordstella.me/ (together, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Services.

By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

• Event registration: When you register for an event, we collect the information you provide (e.g. name, title, email, phone, company) to manage attendance and communicate with you about the event.
• Usage and device information: We collect information about how you use our app and website, including device type, operating system, app version, and general usage patterns. We use Google Analytics on our website and may use analytics in our app to understand usage and improve our Services.
• Content and activity: Information you create or share, such as event bookmarks (“My Agenda”), saved content, and any messages or interactions within the Services.
• Communications: If you contact us, we keep records of that correspondence.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our Services.
• Create and manage your account and profile.
• Process event registrations and manage event-related communications.
• Send you push notifications (e.g. event reminders, updates) if you have agreed to them.
• Analyse usage via Google Analytics and similar tools to improve our Services and user experience.

• Comply with applicable laws and protect our rights and the security of our Services.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our website and may use it in connection with our app to collect information about how visitors and users interact with our Services. Google Analytics may collect information such as IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and time spent. This helps us understand usage patterns and improve our Services.

Google’s use of data collected through Google Analytics is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or through your device and app settings where applicable.

5. Account and data deletion

You can request deletion of your NordStella account and the personal data we hold about you at any time. This is in line with Google Play’s policy that apps offering account creation must offer account and data deletion.

How to request deletion:

• In the app: Open NordStella → Profile → “Delete my account” and follow the on-screen steps.
• By email or post: Contact us using the details in the “Contact us” section below and ask us to delete your account and associated data. We will process your request as set out in this policy.

What we delete: When we process your deletion request, we will delete or anonymise your account and the personal data we hold about you (e.g. profile, contact details, event registrations linked to your account, bookmarks, and other in-app activity we store). This is completed within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days of verifying your request.

What we may keep: We may retain certain information where we are required or permitted by law (e.g. for legal, tax, or regulatory reasons), to resolve disputes, or in anonymised form for analytics. Event organisers may keep their own records of registrations; we do not control that data after it has been shared with them.

After your account is deleted, you will not be able to recover it or the deleted data. You can create a new account at any time if you wish to use our Services again.

6. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you request account deletion, we process it as described in section 5 above.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your personal information, including encryption and secure access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we work to protect your data.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access and receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct or update your personal data (e.g. via your profile settings).
• Request deletion of your personal data and account (see section 5).
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
